2022 SouthWest Territorial and MO State Wild Bunch Application

Welcome

Bear Creek Volunteers is proud to host the SouthWest Territorial and Missouri State Wild Bunch Championship at the Liberty Range located in beautiful Branson, MO along the Bear Creek. Enjoy shooting against the stunning backdrop of these rugged and fascinating mountains. After enjoying the day's shoot, don't forget to visit Branson, the crown jewel of Missouri, for even more fun.

The main match will be 10 stages shot across Saturday and Sunday, Sidematches will be held on Friday.  Power Factor testing and Check-in will be available starting at 11:00 AM until 4 PM on Friday as well as Saturday 7:30 AM - 8:45AM before the main match. Side matches will be held on Friday from 11 AM until 4 PM.   Opening Ceremonies and Mandatory Safety meeting will start at 9:00 AM on Saturday.

 This sport uses real guns and real ammunition. Therefore we stress firearm safety first, last and always! We can provide or refer you to firearms safety and training in the local area. Our range rules are designed to support our goals and maintain our high standards.

Sidematches

Doughboy:This category substitutes your main match pistol caliber rifle with a BAMM (Bolt Action Military Match) rifle. See the Wild Bunch Shooter's handbook for BAMM rifle definiations, or see below. The 1911 and pump action shotgun are still included on the stage. This will be required to use lead only ammunition!

Teddy Roosevelt:This category substitutes your main match pistol caliber rifle with a rifle caliber lever action rifle. Typical calibers include 30-30, 38-55, and 45-70. The 1911 and pump action shotgun are still included on the stage. This will be required to use lead only ammunition!

BAMM:This sidematch utilizes a rifle defined in the Wild Bunch Shooter's Handbook, but is essentially an as issued bolt action military rifle in use during WWII or prior. Typical examples include: Mosin-Nagant 91/30, M1903 & A3, M1917, or Mauser. This will be required to use lead only ammunition! Typical calibers include 30-30, 38-55, and 45-70. The 1911 and pump action shotgun are still included on the stage.

Sergeant York:This sidematch utilizes a BAMM and your 1911. This will be required to use lead only ammunition!

Entertainment

Saturday night's dinner, included with your main match fee will be held at the Stone Castle Hotel. This will also include a Wild Bunch Costume Contest.
5:30 PM Social hour and Drinks, Dinner to follow at 6:30 PM.

Our 2022 Hotel Sponsor is offering a special rate for our shooters and will also be the Saturday Banquet location. Mention you are with the Bear Creek Volunteers and you will receive a $97/ night discounted room rate, that will extend up to three days before and after the match should you choose to hang around and enjoy Branson, MO. This is a newly updated hotel and seems like a great place to stay. This is a new location compared to years previous.
